How to send files in Teams

Send files in teams

Agents can send files to clients using command #Upload_File with the file download URL following the command. Images, audios and video files will be recognized automatically and transformed into suitable format to send to clients so that they can view it on their messaging application directly.
This is a messaging thread command.

Command

Call Stella Inbox in Teams by mentioning it. Select #Send_File command in Teams for the command or type the command directly. A card will be returned for user to upload the file to be sent or send file from Google Drive.

Or users can also choose to send the file by link directly.

  1. Upload File

An adaptive card will be returned by Stella Inbox if the command is called directly without providing url. 



Choose “Upload File”. A new page will be opened in Teams stage view if Teams desktop version is used. If Teams mobile version is used, a new page will be opened in the browser. Choose the file to be uploaded and choose the file type of the file. Click “Send” to send the file to client. 




  1. Google Drive

An adaptive card will be returned by Stella Inbox if the command is called directly without providing url. Choose “Google Drive”. Open the file in Google Drive, set the file to be viewable by link and copy the link. Find the file ID in the copied link and paste it in the File ID field in the card. Press “Send File”. If the file is sent successfully, Stella Inbox will return the result and the image.

If the image cannot be shown. Please open the file in browser to view it.




Direct Link

The file will be downloaded using the link and sent to client.
